Bold, beautiful knit bouclés are undeniably hot for fall 2017. Seen in the collections of Missoni, Chanel, Phillip Lim 3.1, Sonia Rykiel, and others, the fall/winter season gave due attention to the textural darling of the knit world.

While Missoni went fluffy and free, Chanel aimed for architectural and stately, proving bouclé has limitless and diverse fashion potentialities.

We combined our love of bouclé with another hot trend this season, chunky knits. The Dakota Colorblock Jacket is knit with Stacy Charles Fine Yarns/S Line Astrakan, a bulky wool-blend bouclé, and Stacy Charles Fine Yarns Luna Effects. Its subtle mélange of color, soft texture, and cozy fit channel both trends in a flattering and fashion-forward way. The effect is evocative of some of Chanel’s Pre-Fall 2017 color stories (seen above).

The Grey Birch Capelet in Tahki Yarns Arctic, a bulky wool-alpaca blend bouclé, functions like a warm hug. Cables are sumptuously rendered in the lofty Arctic, which is lightweight but warm. It’s the perfect yarn for chunky, textural knits. A stunning all-natural bouclé, Arctic is available in a palette of eco-friendly neutrals.
